This book provides an overview of the development of the large-scale business park Bergweide in Deventer from the beginning of the 1920s to the present.
In addition to the historical reflection and characterization of the current sub-areas of Bergweide, a large part of the book is devoted to an inventory and cultural-historical valuation of all relevant buildings, infrastructural objects and works of art.
The book also discusses the recent transformation processes that took place and the question of how to deal with this in the future. In the meantime, it has developed into a challenging, lively city district with mixed functions for new forms of activity, services, catering, art and
culture, with the existing industrial heritage as a source of inspiration.
